Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille is a former member of the Award Commitee for Odense City's Hans Christian Andersen Award. He is the ninth count on the Funen fairytale castle Egeskov. He has actively participated in acquainting people with Egeskov by telling fairytale stories about the castle and staging the castle in connection to different themes. Egeskov Castle is the host of the Hans Christian Andersen Parade every year in July.
