It is no coincidence that Bo Skovhus was appointed in connection with the opening of the ambitious KMF 336 festival. The classical musical festival has been created to classical music talent within the region. Young aspiring talents perform side by side with artists who once themselves where hopeful young talents, and who now return home as professional, international singers and musicians.

Bo Skovhus' talent was nurtured in his hometown Ikast from an early age, and with his motivation and willpower and musical training he became one of Denmark's great stars on the international opera and lieder stage.

Bo Skovhus is known for his magnificent and evocative storytelling and his versatile voice. Last year he appeared in the much acclaimed staging of La Bohème by the National Danish Opera along with his personal friends, Roberto Alagna and Angela Gheorghiu. He performed Korngold's Die Tote Stadt in Salzburg, and currently he is rehearsing for the original French five-act version of Don Carlos in Vienna.
