HCA Premiere in Quebec

Robert Lepage's solo performance Le projet Andersen premiered at Le Théâtre du Trident in Quebec, Canada, on 22 February. Robert Lepage has most recently directed the screen adaptation of the play The Far Side of the Moon, which has received several international awards.



The Flying Suitcase ready for take off in Ireland

This week, 829 educational 'Flying Suitcases' are ready for take off and dispatch to just as many 5th grade classes in Ireland. As part of the Hans Christian Andersen bicentenary Year 5 class teachers in Ireland and the UK have been invited to register for a free Hans Christian Andersen classroom resource "The Flying Suitcase" and to enter a competition to win a trip to Denmark.

Andersen. Light, sound, image, text and live performance will melt into a contemporary fairytale about Andersen's 200-year jubilee.



Bulgarian First Lady appointed HCA ambassador

HCA at Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen

February 9, 2005, the exhibition "Here in Italy ... Hans Christian Andersen and the Danish Golden Age Painters" opened at Statens Museum for Kunst. The exhibition is sponsored by the Hans Christian Andersen Foundation, and is open to the public from February 12 to June 12, 2005.
