The Picture-Book for Hans Christian Ørsted was made in February 1869 by the teacher and translator Mathilde Ørsted, the daughter of the physician, H.C. Ørsted, for her nephew whose name was also named Hans Christian. The texts and verses are written by Hans Christian Andersen.

The manuscript book belongs to The Royal Library as part of The Laage Petersen Collection. With this on line edition it is published for the first time.
