The Koldinghus Castle Museum is currently planning a Hans Christian Andersen exhibition to coincide with the world premiere of a Chamber Choir version of Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale The Sweethearts, regional Danish newspaper Jydske Vestkysten reports.

The concert will be performed by the Kolding Chamber Choir, which has commissioned Danish poet and parish pastor Steen Kaalø to create a new rendition of the fairytale.

The concert will be conducted by Principal Conductor of the Danish National Girls' Choir, Michael Bojesen, who has set the fairytale to music.

The Kolding Chamber Choir is to perform both original songs by Andersen as well as new renditions and will be accompanied by a wind quartet.

Following the world premiere in Kolding, performances will be held in the town of Fredericia and in Northern Germany.
