Smaller Danish municipalities are beginning to see the opportunity to put themselves on the map in connection with HCA2005. The Danish fairytale writer quite simply travelled around Denmark so much that there is a plenitude of castles, manors, etc, scattered about the country's municipalities able to market themselves in connection with 2005.

Two such places are, respectively, Glorup Castle and Regisse Spring in the municipality of Ørbæk on the island of Funen, which Hans Christian Andersen visited on several occasions.

The municipality has now decided to put these two historic Hans Christian Andersen locations into its tourist brochure for 2005, as well as so seek promotion funding from the County of Funen, writes the local newspaper Fyns Amts Avis.

Since the areas around both Glorup Castle and Regisse Spring are also very attractive for bicycle tourists, the local tourist board has further plans to add the natural beauty of these cycling routes to its tourist brochure.
