Ghita Nørby is without doubt one of the first ladies of Scandinavian theater. She was born in 1935 and began her career in the genre of light entertainment.

In the 1970s, however, she took on more serious roles and, during this period, Ghita Nørby began to read the stories and tales of Hans Christian Andersen aloud. Since then, she has received numerous prizes for her extensive contribution to Scandinavian drama.
