2 April the American literature professor and critic Harold Bloom received the prestigious and forward-looking 2005 Odense City Hans Christian Andersen Award of 50.000 Euro. Harold Bloom is by many considered to be the most influencial American litarary critic and has written more than 25 books since 1959. He is espacially known for the controversial work "The Western Canon: The Books and School of the Ages".
