Hans Christian Andersen Museum:

Welcome to the Hans Christian Andersen Museum
The following film takes you on a tour inside the little, yellow house in Odense, Denmark, where, according to oral tradition, the author Hans Christian Andersen was born.

The building was purchased in 1905 by the City of Odense and established as a museum. The museum has been expanded several times and contains a large number of collections telling the story of Hans Christian Andersen's life from his impoverished origins in Odense to his later years as a world-famous and much celebrated author. You will find everything from manuscripts, drawings and paper cutouts to personal items and photos of the unique author.

A tour through the museum is in many ways an illustration of one of Hans Christian Andersen's happiest stories: His autobiography, "The Fairytale of My Life".
