Contemporary Reviews An introduction to the reception of Hans Christian Andersen's writings at his own time and a selection of reviews have been published online. By Lars Bo Jensen - University of Southern Denmark - 05 August 2003 Reviews and notices of Andersen's literature that appeared in his own time provide the source for contemporary reception of the poet and offer textual and cultural historical insight into his work. On the website of the Hans Christian Andersen Center there is collected a number of remarkable reviews, and Lars Bo Jensen has written an introduction to other kinds of literary criticism of Andersen in his own time.
