Titles in 15 languages The titles of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales in his own Danish, modern Danish and thirteen other languages are now online in an interactive database. By Lars Bo Jensen - University of Southern Denmark - 07 February 2003 Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales are translated into almost 150 languages. The Hans Christian Andersen Center has written the titles of the fairy tales in Hans Christian Andersen's own Danish, modern Danish and thirteen other languages, among which languages of international currency, a few scandinavian languages and the artificial languages Esperanto and Interlingua in an database, that is now online. In due time it is our intention to add titles from other genres, in which Hans Christian Andersen expressed himself, e.g. his novels.  Titles Translated  Back |
