HCA International Fashion Design Competition
The deadline for participating in the design competition of 'The fairy tale dress of the year 2005' has been released. More than 100 different Danish and International high level fashion design educational institutions has received the terms.

More than 100 high level fashion design educational institutions in 40 different countries around the world will be participating in the competition to create 'The fairy tale dress of the year 2005'. The competition requirements for the competition is taking the inspiration in the visual world of H.C. Andersen and the designs of the participants has to be inspired by the paper cuts by H. C. Andersen. The International Fashion Design Competition 2005 is made possible with the support of H. C. Andersen 2005, Danmark & the Bikuben Foundation.
Tickets to the Fashion Show is to be sold for 300 dk plus charge at www.billetnet.dk from 1 August 2005.

Final Jury is:
The final jury will, during the fashion show on 23. September 2005, select the winners, where the first prize of 5.000 Euro and second prize of 2.500 Euro, will be given away. After that, the clothing objects will be sold on an auction. The auction is to be held at Bruun Rasmussen Kunstauktioner, Bredgade 33, 1260 København K., in November 2005. The income will, without any deduction, be put in a special established foundation, for future international fashion design competitions in Odense.
The originator of the project is Beklædningsfagskolen in Odense by Director Karen Maigaard. Designer Annette Meyer is project manager.
