Fairytales in Århus City The Århus City Association is ready to celebrate Hans Christian Andersen in 2005. By ms - H.C. Andersen 2005 - 09 October 2003 The Århus City Forening (The Århus City Association) has decided to focus attention on the worldwide 200th birthday celebration of Hans Christian Andersen in 2005. The idea is to create a fairytale atmosphere throughout the entire city, and the provisional plan for each section of the city to take one of Hans Christian Andersen's fairytales as an overall decorative theme, writes the newspaper JP Århus. "Businesses and shops in Århus want to participate - at the very least, because we believe that the city space should be a part of the act. It is a perfect chance for the city to show what it can do," says director for the Århus City Association, Claus Bech.  Back |
