The Århus Festival and the Concert Hall Aarhus will be two of the most important players on the field, when a number of major premieres in connection with HCA2005 are held on Danish soil.

According to the newspaper Århus Stiftstidende, these two cultural institutions will together spend DKK 1.5 million to realize their part in the HCA 2005 project, and both institutions estimate that their involvement in the project will be good business for them.

"With this agreement, Århus will enjoy a number of very high quality performances that we would otherwise be unable to afford," says director of the Concert Hall Aarhus, Hans N. Hansen.

He won't divulge what events the Concert Hall Aarhus will be hosting in 2005, but the intention is that the Concert Hall Aarhus and the Århus Festival will form the backdrop for performances involving major foreign names, all of which were created specially for the Hans Christian Andersen 2005 project.
