The Hans Christian Andersen Center at the University of Southern Denmark has received a huge stack of drawings from the fifth grade class at the Rudolf Steiner School in Odense.
The drawings are the children's own interpretation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, "The Snow Queen," with which the class has been working during the 2002-2003 school year, and they are so good that the Hans Christian Andersen Center has decided to publish them on its website.
There are no titles on the drawings - so, visitors to the site will have to guess what the drawings depict. At the very least, the drawings will be an inspiration, for example, to other schools working on Hans Christian Andersen.
"They could fruitfully read the fairy tale and then try to place each drawing in the context of the story," writes Johan de Mylius on the Hans Christian Andersen Center's website.
