The Hans Christian Andersen Multiarena is going to be big - really big. The arena will have room for 15,000 spectators, a hotel, a bowling center, a family entertainment center, a fitness center, movie theatres, shops, restaurants and a nightclub.

According to the plans, there will be 5000 parking spaces in a forest of trees adjoining the Hans Christian Andersen Arena.

The project will be privately financed.  English investors have purchased the land from the Municipality of Høje Taastrup.  At the moment, negotiations are underway with potential lessees for the huge 45,000 square kilometres arena space.

The building itself is expected to get off the ground in the spring of 2003 and investors are aiming to inaugurate the Hans Christian Andersen Multiarena in 2005.
