Connie Nielsen. Born in 1965 in Elling, Denmark, but grew up in Copenhagen. Even as a young girl, Connie Nielsen was interested in acting. She garnered her first acting experience as a 15-year old, when she participated in a cabaret, written by her mother. When she was 18, she moved to Paris to pursue her dream of becoming an actress, which led her to other work in Rome, Milan and South Africa. In 1993, Connie Nielsen moved to New York, where she made her debut in English motion pictures with the television thriller, "Voyage."

Since then, she has appeared in a number of major Hollywood productions. Among other things, she played Lucilla in Ridley Scott's epic film "Gladiator" (2000) and has appeared in such films as "Mission to Mars" (2000), "One Hour Photo" (2002), "Hunted" (2003), and "Basic" (2003). 

In addition to being a talented actress, Connie Nielsen is also a singer and dancer.
