Daphne Deckers (1968) worked as a model for many years, after which she built up a career as TV- presenter. Moreover, she played in films such as 'All Stars' and the James Bond film 'Tomorrow Never Dies'.

These days, she is particularly known as author of several novels. Her novels 'De geboorte van een moeder' (2000) (The birth of a mother) and 'De geboorte van een gezin (The birth of a family) (2002) all became best sellers. Besides writing comedy scenario's (amongst others for the comedy on Vara, a Dutch channel, 'Oppassen!!!') Deckers also wrote the children's book 'De verschrikkelijke ijstaart' (The terrible icecake).

In spring, her second children's book will be published ' De matroos in de Doos' (The Sailor in the Box). The premiere of the American theatre play that Deckers translated from Enlish into Dutch, will take place as well.

Her weekly columns in 'TV-Weekeinde', the Saturday annex of the Duth Newspaper 'De Telegraaf' were recently successfully collected, carrying the title 'Opwaartse drukte'. Daphne is ambassador for the National Child Aid Foundation and the sponsor lottery.
