Born 1932, actress. Stéphane Audran first appeared on the silver screen in 1957 in the movie "Le Jeu de la nuit" by Daniel Costelle and then in 1959 in the Claude Chabrol movie "Les Cousins". She worked extensively with Chabrol, whom she married in 1964. Stéphane Audran has stared in a great many films where she has featured as the fascinating and enchanting female lead role. She later developed her character following her break-up with Claude Chabrol in 1980. This change of screen character is apparent in the film "Barbette's Feast". In 1979, Stéphane Audran was awarded a César for the best female supporting role in the film -Violette Nozière".
