The Int. Hans Christian Andersen Exhibition

02 October 2004 - 29 January 2006 , Exhibition (including permanent)
Germany

The international travelling exhibition offers a new image of the great Danish author. It relates the huge success of Hans Christian Andersen through images, documentation, and facsimile of his manuscripts and letters.

Hans Christian Andersen was a fairytale storyteller for children of all ages - but he was much more than that. He was a critical journalist fascinated by science, he was an existential thinker, an experienced travelogue writer, a passionate novelist, a skilful paper cut artist and a neurotic, sex-obsessed eccentric and hypochondriac. He was a man of demons, dreams, passions, and visions. He was a man of flesh and blood.
