The Hong Kong Arts Festival will present a multi-media performance of The Nightingale in 2005, one of the beloved fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, about truthful beauty and artificial excess, which has been enjoyed by generations of children.

The Hong Kong Arts Festival will present a multi-media performance of The Nightingale in 2005, one of the beloved fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, about truthful beauty and artificial excess, which has been enjoyed by generations of children. David Tse, the artistic director of UK's pioneering East Asian company the Yellow Earth Theatre, adapts this wonderful uplifting story for the stage to enchant family audiences. 
 
With the collaboration of Hong Kong renowned Chung Ying Theatre, this play will feature shadow puppetry and fascinating music, imaginative video, beautiful dance, evocative lighting, colourful costumes and a cleverly designed set.

A brilliant and entertaining theatrical experience in year 2005, the bicentenary of the birth of Andersen.
 
Performed in Cantonese and English with some Mandarin.
