Taarbæk School
The course at Taarbæk School was carried out in the period between the summer vacation and the mid-term autumn holiday in 2003.

Taarbæk School, in the municipality of Lyngby-Taarbæk, is a small school with classes from preschool to 6th grade: a total of about 150 pupils. Since August 2003 the school has participated in the municipality of Lyngby-Taarbæk's project "The Flexible School": a large-scale development project that aims at organizing classes more flexibly in accordance with concrete needs. This relates to themes, subjects and pupils.

Næsby Skole
The course at Næsby School was carried out in the period between the summer vacation and the mid-term autumn holiday in 2003.

Næsby School, which is located in the north western part of the municipality of Odense, is a two-form school with classes from preschool to 10th grade. All students and Danish teachers in the classes 8a, 8b, 9a and 9b participated in the Hans Christian Andersen pilot project at Næsby School.

Virum School
The course at Virum School was carried out in October-November 2003.

Virum Skole is located in the municipality of Lyngby-Taarbæk and is a large, four-form school. All of the 8th and 9th grade classes participated in the Hans Christian Andersen pilot project, coached by the Centre for Children's Literature. The course was planned by the Danish teachers, the school library, the municipal school library consultant and the Centre for Children's Literature.
