Matthew G. Minami er en af Japans mest berømte og elskede entertainere. Han er også vært for et tv-program, "Matthew's Best Hit TV", som er nr.1 iblandt Japans talkshows. Hans far var japansk musiker og hans mor engelsk aristokrat. Han er også hyldet af ungdommen i Japan som trendsættende mode-guru. Hans nylige medvirken i filmen "Lost in Translation", skrevet og instrueret af Sophia Coppola, vakte stor, international interesse.
